Design

I specialize in the design of HVAC and plumbing systems for custom single-family homes and commercial buildings.

Designs are completed in 2D AutoCAD or 3D in Revit.

Single-Family Homes

Most new single-family homes I design have aggressive energy goals and are pursuing Passive House certification, net-zero energy, off-grid energy independence, passive survivability, or full electrification.

Commercial Buildings

I’m licensed to practice mechanical engineering in the States of New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, and Maine, which is required by law to design systems for commercial buildings.

I have experience designing and working with a wide variety of commercial building types that include but are not limited to K-12 schools, college campus buildings, churches, veterinary hospitals, multifamily buildings, medical office buildings, grocery stores, hair salons, manufacturing facilities, pools, museums, and more.

Typical commercial projects are renovations or “special projects” that address specific issues in existing buildings.

Historic Buildings

I specialize in designing mechanical systems for historic buildings that require a high attention to detail and creative problem-solving to minimize disruption and maintain historic integrity.
