Classic Bike Show – Shepton Mallet

14th and 15th February 2009

We had never before considered doing a show such as the Classic Bike Show at Shepton Mallet, but thought as our circumstances have changed with the Website parts business this may put us in touch with a wider audience of Ducati Single owners.

Previously we had thought that most people would have found us on the internet, on the grapevine or know us via Classic Racing (CRMC and Classic Racer) but were pleasantly amazed by how many new Ducati owners called at the stand. They were pleased to be able to find a source of parts and in some cases we have nudged them into action to get out their old Ducati Single which had been gathering dust in the garage! One person said they nearly bought a Ducati, but were put off by the difficulty in obtaining parts to rebuild it – had he known about us, he would have probably bought the bike in question! – We sent him off to look for another one!

All in all it was a busy couple of days and we were really pleased to meet up with customers both road and race, new and old. It is something we will certainly do again in the future.
